ISTJ

ISTJ's tend to be serious, quiet writers. They are great when working with technical topics and often understand the world through statistics. As reliable, hardworking individuals, they take responsibility for any task, including writing. They are rarely blocked unless confronted with a lack of information. They are most anguished when dealing with iNtuitive editors or bosses who do not give specific directions or when they are forced to try a novel approach. Typical of most Sensing types, they are quite literal in their choice of words and avoid vague words. For an ISTJ, a pen is a pen, not a "radically new writing system."

Below are some of the advantages and challenges ISTJ's face when writing:

Challenges

Most efficient of all writers in estimating time and completing projects.

Best writing is when working with facts, which are almost always correct.

Clear, concise, to-the-point. They don't mince words.

Because they value the details, may overwhelm the reader .

May overlook the big picture or bury it in a mountain of facts.

May leave the reader out—too dry, brusque, abrupt.
